InfiBio, The Bioinformatics Practice @ Infitech Global,
is pleased to announce the Bioinformatics Internship
Program - January 2007. The mission of this programme
is to provide the highest possible quality research
& development experience in bioinformatics, equipping
the new generation of this budding professional community
with the tools for a successful career in bioinformatics.
Once selected, interns participate as members of project
teams & indulge themselves in the research &
development activities that complement their college
curricula with relevant hands-on experience. Working
with the experienced individuals in the industry would
provide them the right environment for academic and
career growth. So if you are looking for a career break

Duration:
• The regular programme will run for three months
(full time).
• The split-internship programme: This is designed
exclusively for MSc/BE/BTech final year students &
runs in two phases
o Phase I: First two months (before examinations) –
during this phase the student would be working in the
company as a team member of an ongoing project. The
student would also be provided an opportunity to complete
an academic project during this period.
o Phase II: After examinations – 01 month –
during this phase the student would be working in the
company on an ongoing project.
Experience certificate:
Apart from excellent hands-on exposure to R&D activities,
the student will also receive a valuable experience
certificate after the completion of the internship period.
Number of Positions available:
Totally 15 seats are available.
Eligibility:
Students who are presently pursuing/ who have already
completed their graduation/post-graduation in Bioinformatics
are eligible to apply.
MSc/BSc/BE/BTech students in other branches like Biotechnology,
Microbiology & Biochemistry with adequate exposure
to bioinformatics analysis methods/software development/database
management skills can also strongly encouraged to apply.
Allotment:
Seat allotment would be on first-come-first serve basis.
The candidate selection is done by screening & is
solely based on the knowledge level/skill sets possessed
by the candidate. The successful candidates would be
intimated through email.
