Eligibility
a) Medical/Agriculture/Veterinary Courses - Candidates
should have passed the Higher Secondary examination
or examination recognized as equivalent thereto, with
50% marks in Biology, and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry
and Biology put together.
(b) BPharm course - Candidates should have passed the
Higher Secondary examination or examinations recognized
as equivalent thereto, with 50% marks in Biology or
Mathematics separately and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry
& Biology /Mathematics put together. Candidates
who have passed D.Pharm course 1 with 50% mark in the
final Diploma examination in Pharmacy are also eligible
for admission to B.Pharm course, subject to the condition
that they should have passed Higher Secondary/Pre-Degree
or equivalent examination, with Physics, Chemistry and
Biology/Mathematics as optional.
Such candidates will be eligible only for BPharm course
and will not be admitted to other Medical/Agriculture/Veterinary
Courses.
(c) Eligibility of BSc. Degree holders for MBBS, BDS
and B.Pharm courses - Those who apply based on their
BSc. Degree, for admission to MBBS, BDS and B.Pharm
courses, should have obtained their BSc. Degree with
one of the subjects, Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany,
Bio-Chemistry as Main, and any one or two of these subjects
as subsidiaries, with 50% marks for Main and Subsidiaries
taken together, provided they have passed the Higher
Secondary or equivalent examination, with Physics, Chemistry
and Biology as optional subjects.
(d) Engineering and Architecture Courses - Candidates
should have passed the Higher Secondary examination,
or examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with
50% marks in Mathematics, and 50% marks in Physics,
Chemistry and Mathematics put together.
Three year Diploma holders in Engineering having 50%
marks in the final Diploma examination are also eligible
for admission. However these Diploma Holders are not
eligible for admission to the courses under the Kerala
Agricultural University.
(e) Relaxation in marks in the Qualifying Examination
- For all courses, a relaxation of 5% marks in the qualifying
examination will be allowed to those candidates who
belong to the communities listed under the Socially
and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) and OEC category,
whose annual family income is up to Rs. 2.5 lakhs (Rupees
Two Lakhs and Fifty Thousand only). SC/ST candidates
need only a pass in the qualifying examination.
(f) Candidates who have appeared/are appearing for Qualifying
Examinations - Candidates who have not passed the qualifying
examination but have appeared/ are appearing for the
Higher Secondary or equivalent examination or the three-year
Engineering Diploma examination this academic year,
will also be permitted to take the Entrance Examination(s)
provisionally. But, such candidates become eligible
for admission only, if they pass the qualifying examination
and thereby become eligible for admission before the
commencement of the Centralized Allotment Process 2005.
Apart from educational qualification Applicant should
be an Indian citizen. Both Keralites and Non-Keralites
are eligible to apply. The candidate should complete
17 years of age as on 31st December, 2005 Application Procedure
Candidates can apply online, An extract of the Prospectus
will also be available in the web site of the Commissioner
for Entrance Examinations at www.cee-kerala.orgSuch
candidates should send the filled-in application along
with a Demand Draft for Rs.700/-, drawn on any Nationalised
Bank, in favour of the 'Commissioner for Entrance Examinations',
payable at Thiruvananthapuram.
The application form and Prospectus will be sold from
01-01-2005 to 10-02-2005 through selected Post Offices
in Kerala and outside the State. Cost of Application
is for General candidates - Rs. 700/- ; SC/ST candidates
- Rs. 350. The amount towards cost of application is
to be remitted in cash at the sale centre. SC/ST candidates
should apply in pink-coloured application forms and
all other candidates should apply in the General application
form. Candidates under 'Other Eligible Communities (OEC)'
should apply in the General application form. The list
of Post Offices selected as sales centres is appended
separately./- . Only one application need to be submitted
for the entrance examinations for admission to one or
more of Medical ,Agriculture, Veterinary, B.Pharm, Engineering
and Architecture courses.
Application Forms will not be available by post or
sold from the office of the Commissioner for Entrance
Examinations. At the time of purchase of the application
form, applicants will also be supplied with an OMR Data
Sheet, Prospectus and an envelope bearing the address
of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations. Candidates
should ensure that the Application number printed in
the Application Form, OMR Data Sheet and on the cover
are the same.
Candidates applying for the Aptitude Test in Architecture
in addition to Medical/Engineering/B.Pharm entrance
Examinations should submit along with their filled in
application from, a Demand Draft for Rs. 300/- (Rs.
Three Hundred only), drawn on a Nationalised Bank in
favour of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations,
and payable at Thiruvananthapuram. However, if the candidate
is applying only for the Aptitude Test in Architecture
no additional remittance is required.
Candidates opting DUBAI (UAE) as the Centre for Entrance
Examination. Candidates, who choose 'DUBAI' as their
centre for the Entrance Examination, should submit along
with their filled in application from, a Demand Draft
for Rs.7000/- (Rs. Seven Thousand only), drawn on a
Nationalised Bank in favour of the Commissioner for
Entrance Examinations, and payable at Thiruvananthapuram.
5. Last date and time for receipt of filled in Application
Forms: The filled in Application Form along with the
OMR DATA SHEET and other relevant documents to be submitted
with the Application form is to be sent in the printed
envelope bearing the address of the Commissioner for
Entrance Examinations supplied along with the application
form so as to reach him before 5 p.m. on Thursday, 10th
February 2005, by Hand Delivery / Registered Post/ Speed
Post.
Belated applications will be rejected. Candidates
are therefore advised to apply well in advance. The
Commissioner for Entrance Examinations will not be responsible
for any postal delay. Candidates will not be allowed
to include any information in the application form or
to submit any Certificates/Documents claiming reservation
or any other benefits, after the submission of the application,
under any circumstances. Requests in this regard will
not be entertained by the Office of the Commissioner.Certificates
that are to be obtained in the body of the Application
should be obtained in the body of the Application form
itself. The certificates in the same format which are
attached separately with the application form will not
be considered.Incomplete application forms are rejected.
The Entrance Examinations will be held at all the District
Centres in Kerala, New Delhi and in Dubai (UAE), on
the dates mentioned below as per Indian Standard Time.
