The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) are

Details Regarding INET 2006 and Admission to the Master
of Science in Information Technology - MS (IT) Programme
All candidates seeking admissions to the MS (IT) are
requested to go through this document carefully before
formally applying for the programme.
1. Eligibility:
Candidates must have a first class B.Tech./B.E. in any
engineering discipline, MCA or equivalent. Candidates
who are in a position to complete all their requirements
for B.Tech./B.E. or MCA before Aug. 01, 2006 are also
eligible to apply. They may register online or offline
as stated in Section 3 below.
2. IIITM-K National Entrance Test 2006
(INET 2006)
The qualifying test for MS (IT) - the INET 2006 - an
Online Entrance Test - will be held on June 10, 2006.
Candidates with valid GATE / CAT score of 80 percentile
or above are exempted from appearing for (INET 2006).
3. How to apply?
Online Registration: Go to the site www.iiitmk.ac.in/iiitmk/inet2006
and follow the directions given for Registering Online.
All those registering online must send a Demand Draft
for Rs. 1000/- (Rupees One Thousand Only) drawn in favour
of Director, IIITM-K payable at Trivandrum along with
two passport size photographs. Both the draft and the
photographs must be duly signed with the candidate's
name clearly spelt out on the reverse side.

About the MS (IT) Programme: Course Details
IIITM-K's MS (IT) program is of two-year duration with
rigorous coursework, practice, group activities, term
papers and project internship. The features of the MS
(IT) programme are given below.
Three semesters of classes with 16 courses followed
by one semester internship in reputed industry, research
organization or in R&D projects of different institutes.
